Autumn-winter transitional date night outfits

I think it’s safe to say that the weather this year has been… weird. I’m never sure whether it’ll be sunny or freezing, no matter the month! ISawItFirst kindly asked me to collaborate and I thought I’d put together two ‘date night’ outfits which are perfect for this transitional autumn to winter weather. Whether it’s a date with your boo, your girls, or even just with Prezzo’s honeycomb cheesecake – these outfits are glam whilst still being comfortable and cosy! I’ve popped links to the items throughout the post and will put a full list at the bottom – you can use code ALIH35 for a discount too.

The perfect Autumn-Winter aviator

I’m so glad to see that aviator jackets have returned this winter as they were one of my favourite trends last year. I absolutely love this one – the camel colour is gorgeous and the faux fur lining is dreamily soft. Seriously! You need to feel it!! For me, coats need to be versatile, and this is something that I’ll definitely wear over and over. I’d love to style it again with a leather skirt, but it would work well with jeans too!

As you can see, I’ve paired it with a white roll neck and a snake print skirt. I have been ALL OVER the animal print trend this year and I’ve fallen for snake print in a way that I never thought I would. Full disclaimer: this skirt comes with a side split, which was a little too revealing on my little legs (5ft 2 problems!) so I spun it around – but I think it would be great on someone taller!

C-E-WOAH – aka why you need a check blazer for Autumn

If you work at a cool office, this look is perfect for you to wear to post-work drinks. This is my first check blazer of 2018 and I’m so glad to be jumping on the trend. I’ve seen so many of these about, and I think the key is to go for that slightly oversized fit. From what I’ve seen of the upcoming winter collections, blazers are going to be in all season – so this is definitely the time to buy. You could also use it to style up a cosy jumper and jeans.

I love a slogan tee, and this one looks great paired with the cycling shorts. Now, let’s talk about cycle shorts – they’re a bit like marmite aren’t they? Do you love them or hate them? I’m all about comfort so they get a big yes from me!

You’ll notice that the sock boots are back for this outfit, which helps to show their versatility. Last year, I lived in sock boots and I plan to do the same this winter. I think they instantly add a bit of glam and sass to an outfit! (They even look great with some trendy joggers!)
